Botanical Plate
A natural-history plate with subtle botanical elements.
A portrait in the manner of a natural-history plate. The animal is rendered with care and affection, combined with subtle botanical elements such as twigs, leaves or blossom. The style feels archival, almost as though it came from an old collector’s folio or museum collection. Lightly watercoloured, lightly illustrative, yet always refined and calm.
