Edo Print
A Japanese woodblock portrait with flat colour on washi paper.
A portrait in the spirit of a Japanese woodblock print. The animal is simplified into clear contours, flat fields of colour and a calm, graphic composition. The background may carry a subtle pattern, mist, wave form or natural simplicity, yet everything stays quiet and balanced. The paper texture and a touch of artisanal imperfection make the image soft and authentic.
